Match report On a day which varied between muggy and warm to seriously cold, the Club had a good win after a mid-innings wobble. Excellent seam bowling by Sam Sargant (4-20)and Chris Fox (3-44) and some canny spin from Bertie Matthew restricted MSCC to 138 with only Danny Clarke (61)really in control with the bat. 138 always looked too few.

James Pym hit his first fifty for the Club. There were delightful and stylish cameos from Tom Gurney and Charles Williams but a few wickets fell and it was left to captain, Rob Hastings to farm the bowling and see us home.

As ever the MSCC hospitality was superb - an outstanding tea was followed by the traditional post-match barbecue. Many thanks to all at MSCC.
