After struggling on at the start on what was a slow stogy pitch and after some tight overs from Pink Elephants the Cryptics needed some middle order long handle stuff to get near what was a sensible total. This was nicely provided by Rutter, Parker and Nichols to get the Cryptics to what was always going to be a tough to chase down 145.

Pink Elephants struggled from the start and with the light closing in fast the over rate took priority. Early wickets and the Cryptics flying through the overs only applied further pressure to the chase which never got going. A steady innings from Kershen with a late flurry from Viven not enough to threaten the Cryptics total.
