The Club Dinner had the largest attendance in recent years and was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Cryptics 18-84 years old enjoyed excellent food and wine and a superb after dinner speech by Robert Winder.* Many thanks to Robert and indeed to John Hamilton who made a hugely successful debut as Dinner Manager.
At the start of the evening the Club remembered Cryptics who have died in the last year - Colin Dean, Patrick Nolan, Douglas Henderson and Peter Spencer.
Once again the OUOTC did us proud and enabled us to keep the ticket price very reasonable. Thanks to a generous donation by a member not able to be there we were able a couple of the younger members tickets for nothing.
The AGM preceded the Dinner and saw the election of Officers for 2022-23, the approval of the Accounts and the election to be Vice Presidents of David Fawcus Christopher Dean, in recognition of their many years of membership and service to the Club.
