Peter Meadows (member since 1961)

It is with regret that we advise of the passing of a member of the Club.  Peter Meadows (81) dies peacefully at home on 12th April 2016.

Peter was on the Sedbergh School staff from 1959-1990.

A stalwart of the Northern Tour from the 1960s through to the end of the 1990s, he assisted Simon Westhead in running it for 20 years. A renowned bowler taking many wickets, a significant performance came on 1974 when he took 10-66 against the Yorkshire Gentlemen.

Our deepest sympathies to his wife, Judith, and family - Nicholas (member since 1996), Elizabeth and Alistair.

Peter's funeral was held on Friday 28th April at 11.30am at St Bartholomew's Church, Barbon, and was attended by a number of local Cryptics.  A memorial service is to arranged at Sedbergh School later this summer.
